JENZ Products was established in 2009 out of the great city of Chicago, IL and production out of Geneva Lake area in wonderful Wisconsin.
The purpose is simple... to help kids out!
In areas all over the world, mainly Ethiopia, kids are walking around barefoot! Not by choice, but because they don't have shoes.
These Ethiopian children live in serious agricultural societies and are out farming day in and day out barefoot.
Mossy Foot disease (podoconiosis) is a debilitating foot disease common in people in agricultural societies. "Mossy Foot disease is caused by agrarian people working barefoot in volcanic soil, especially in red clay soil at altitudes of over 1000 meters. This soil contains microscopic particles of volcanic glass, or silica, which penetrate through the pores into the lymphatic system. About one in thirteen develops an inflammation thus contracting the disease."

This disease causes serious suffering and pain in the feet and legs. Kids have to drop out of school, many disowned from their families, and sometimes completely neglected to point of starvation. These people and children are treated as Lepers.
